We give back.
At The Workshop, we’re committed to making the world a better place. We give support to different charity programmes, participate in outreach activities and organise regular donations. We have also launched several initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint.
Volunteering
We offer paid volunteer leave to our employees. Different teams gather regularly to provide practical support to local charities. For example, one team volunteered at a local dog shelter where they built new huts for animals and did maintenance work on the fence and grounds. Another team took time out to prepare and pack food parcels for a local food donation charity.
Outreach Programmes
We actively take part in the communities around us, sending Inventors to participate in important outreach programmes that help to shape and cultivate our community.
Donations
Our offices are charitable spaces, where we regularly organise donation runs to collect clothing, food and books for local charities.
Some of these programmes are run annually at specific times of the year, such as during the holiday season, when our giving spirits are at their highest. One of our favourite annual programmes is the Christmas Toy Donation, where we collect brand new toys to be given to a Women’s Aid Refuge so that every child can have a gift to open at Christmas.
Going Green
One of our company’s biggest commitments is towards the environment. These are some initiatives we’ve taken recently (and there are more to come!):
We’ve reviewed suppliers to ensure they are environmentally responsible, ethically sourced and sustainable where possible.
We’ve significantly reduced our energy needs by changes to our air-conditioning system, to sustainable food containers from our lunch provider, and replaced wasteful aluminium coffee pods with Fairtrade organic coffee beans.
The use of a company bus in Málaga takes the equivalent of 60 – 70 cars off the road each day.
Charity Programmes
Teaming: Approximately 100 Inventors contribute a small amount of our monthly salaries to a fund. Each quarter, our contributors choose a charity to benefit from the collected money. So far, we’ve donated to organisations fighting homelessness, helping refugees, improving education, childcare and many more.

Other initiatives include a loyalty scheme we signed up for with KidsOut Charity to support disadvantaged children, as well as the Shine Night Walk that takes place each September in London in aid of cancer research.

To mark World Environment Day, we gave every one of our Inventors an eco-friendly water bottle to keep them hydrated (and environmentally responsible!).
We’re using a new electronic signature programme which means we will require much less printing of documents.
