Our DNA

The Workshop is a tech company that develops incredible software for our clients in the online gaming industry. We make simple, refined and beautifully-designed games, but that’s not all – we do everything from research and development to marketing and support services. How? By hiring great people and trusting them to challenge, change, improve and perfect our products and processes. It’s the kind of place where you can try new ideas, take risks, and move fearlessly forward.

Your Mission

You’ll give people who play our games the most enjoyable experience possible. Keeping players’ needs front of mind, you’ll put usability, accessibility and fun at the top of your agenda whether you’re designing for web, mobile or social platforms. And not only will you know how to craft engaging designs that trigger effortless play; you’ll enjoy coaching other designers to do the same. Someone who loves solving problems and has an eye for an opportunity, you’ll jump at the chance to set industry standards in a games studio that covers the full lifecycle of our products – from initial concept and storyboarding right through to play.

You’ll be part of a Product Management department that steers the development, design and marketing of all our products. Here, our games lovers work with many channels and stakeholders across the business, strengthening the overall quality and profitability of our portfolio, and taking a strategic rather than a tactical approach.

What you’ll do

Create low to high fidelity wireframes

In the beginning of any project you will be making low fidelity wireframes, such as sketches so that we can iterate quickly. During the later phases, you will be responsible for creating high-fidelity interactive wireframes.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis

To back-up your UX decisions and create delightful experiences you will be doing research in the understanding phase of any project. You will also work closely with our dedicated UX researchers to participate in usability testing sessions or take part in the bigger research projects.

Create functional specs

Together with the UX prototype you will be responsible in creating a UX documentation that will usually include user flows, interaction details, Annotated Wireframes and anything else necessary to hand over a complete delivery to the engineering teams.

Conduct stakeholder interviews

You will be interacting directly with key stakeholders throughout the project phase and will have to conduct efficient interviews in order to understand more about the business objectives.

Present UX deliveries to stakeholders, engineers and clients

You will showcase UX deliveries and follow up on feedback as necessary. You will be articulated and proficient in English and, ideally, you will have experience presenting your work and UX decisions to a wide range of audiences.

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years of experience as a UX designer, backed by a portfolio
  • Professional level of written and spoken English
  • Great communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working within a full-stack design team
  • Ability to articulate UX decisions and receive feedback
  • Strong knowledge of IA, UX patterns and guidelines

Please, send us a CV with your Portfolio to apply. CVs sent without a portfolio will not be considered.
